What a Boat Tune-Up Includes
Every engine is different and we follow the manufacturer's maintenance schedule for your motor. A typical annual service can include:
- Engine oil and filter change
- Lower unit or outdrive gear lube change
- Water pump impeller inspection or replacement
- Spark plug replacement
- Fuel filter and water separator replacement
- Grease fittings and steering lubrication
- Propeller removal, inspection and shaft grease
- Anode (zinc) inspection
- Battery and charging test
- Belt, hose and clamp inspection
- Trim and tilt fluid check
- Test run and report of findings
Pre-Season and Mid-Season Checkups

A spring checkup before your first trip, and a mid-summer once-over for boats that see a lot of hours, catches small problems before they turn into a tow back to the ramp.

Most manufacturers call for service every 100 hours or once a year, whichever comes first. Boats used heavily in the summer may need service more often. We follow the schedule for your specific engine.
Can you service my boat at my house?
Yes. Mobile service is what we do. We regularly work in driveways, at storage facilities, at marinas and at private docks throughout our service area.
